LAMITEX POLICY
FOR OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY
Introduction
Since its foundation, LAMITEX S.p.A. was created with the design of a new CLPL® technology, in compliance with the principles of sustainability, for the production of a decorative laminate free of pollutants, formaldehyde in particular, with the use of materials, machines, working methods and solutions aimed at improving the environmental impact and workplaces at its production site and at those of its customers around the world: the pillar of sustainability is the protection of the Health and Safety of workers in the workplace through a policy of continuous improvement that has led to the achievement and maintenance of the ISO UNI EN 45001:2023 certification of its Occupational Health and Safety Management System.
Policy
LAMITEX S.p.A., although aware that in any human activity 0 risk does not exist, aims to minimize all types of accidents, but in particular those with a prognosis of more than 40 days, through a holistic and collaborative approach between the Company – Workers – Occupational Health and Safety Management Structure formed by: Employer-DL, Head of the Prevention and Protection Service -RSPP, Workers’ Health and Safety Representative-RLS, HCM-Competent Physician, Prevention and Protection Service Officer-ASPP and Health and Safety Officers.
To this end LAMITEX S.p.A intends:
- to ensure that the company policy, of the organization, is appropriate to the company mission, to the nature and extent of the related risks: to the production processes, to the management of workers’ health and safety and to environmental impacts
- to ensure that the policy is made available and disseminated to all interested parties
- to provide trained human resources, increasing their skills in know-how, materials and techniques (machinery, equipment, technology and infrastructure) with training, in order to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of Management Systems
- to check the quality of the suppliers’ products and services
- to ensure the achievement of the applicable requirements and the continuous improvement of the performance of the production processes as well as the commitment to environmental protection and the health and safety of workers in the workplace throughout the production process
- to ensure a healthy and safe place for the performance of activities and in accordance with the requirements of the law, current legislation, regulations and other requirements that may be signed regarding the product, production processes, health and safety at work, the environment and the life cycle of the product
- to provide products and services that always meet the contractually required requirements and, where possible, the need and expectations not expressed by the customer
- to empower the entire organization with regard to product management and support processes, Health and Safety in the workplace, the environment and the product life cycle. This each according to their own attributions and expertise, from the Employer/Management, to the employees, to the operators
- to undertake to consider the business management processes, Safety and Health in the workplace, pollution prevention and related results as an integral part of the company organization
- to ensure the involvement and consultation of workers also through their Safety Representative
- to ensure that periodic reviews of the policy and the Management Systems implemented take place
- to ensure that the objectives and related implementation programmes are defined and disseminated within the organisation
- to promote, through adequate training and information, the dissemination of a culture on Occupational Health and Safety through the awareness and involvement of all personnel operating in all Management Systems
- to manage the risks of the activities and production processes, always maintaining them at an acceptable level for a balanced economic-qualitative relationship, in compliance with applicable legislation and regulations. The path aimed at reducing the risk involves the elimination, or at least the replacement of the risk with a lesser one, the redesign, education and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- use of renewable resources to reduce energy consumption
- organize all the objectives in a schematic way in order to obtain a holistic and collaborative vision of the Management System, implementing programs shared with the Management itself
This policy applies to the activities and sites located in Spilimbergo (PN) in via Zona Industriale Nord 54 and 56. It is disseminated in the appropriate forms to all persons involved within the organisation and made available on the company website and to all interested parties who request it.
